Annapurna Circuit: complete

| | Comments (2)

Back from three weeks trekking the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal, complete with unseasonal monsoon rains, landslides, washed away bridges and fresh snow on the Thorong La.

On the plus side, no AMS at 5416m / 17,769 ft (that's higher than Everest Base Camp folks...), stunning mountains, remote villages, 11 other lovely trekkers, one great guide, three fabulously attentive assistant guides and nine speedy porters.

Mary, Hazel, Durga - Thorong La (you have no idea how *cold* it was!)

Thank you Mountain Kingdoms!

Hi Mary,
I tried to put a comment on earlier but my computer skills seem to have let me down. Hope you have found the transition back to normal life, not too bothersome. I had a good break in Nepal, despite getting giardia and the flights back were non eventful. Caught the 8:15 train from Paddington and was in Swansea by 11:30, somewhat knackered.
Back at work now and leaves to sweep, gutters to clean, dogs to walk ETC normal life resumes.
I hope you are not put off walking for good, say Hi to Hazel.

Regards

Richard
