Part 1 in Manda Scott’s telling of the Boudicca story introduces us to Breaca as she grows from childhood to become as a warrior of the Iceni, and her brother Bon, captured by enemy Arminius and taken as a slave to Roman Gaul where he ends up a soldier in the Roman Army, returning to Britain under the leadership of Gaius Suetonius Paulinus in the invasion of AD 60 / 61.
The audiobook is unabridged, with I like but it makes for a lot of listening….
