Left for Dead: My Journey Home from Everest – Beck Weathers

My third outing with a survivor of the 1996 Everest disaster, this time with Beck Weathers with the client-climber who would be left for dead having slipped into a hypothermic coma once the weather closed in on the South Col.

A very different account compared to Jon Krakauer’s Into Thin Air and Anatoli Boukreev’s The Climb, Left for Dead focuses on what drove Beck Weathers to want to climb Everest, and the consequences for his family.
