Our nameless Evenki narrator reflects on her life as one of the last nomadic reindeer herders in China’s for north east, where Russian influences seem stronger than those of Han China.

A novel that reminded me a lot of Margaret Forster’s Diary of an Ordinary Woman, as in you might easily think you’re reading an autobiography.
